We can now boast that we are the only company now who repairs, services and can train personnel on their use. Here at Northern Platforms Ltd, we get all our parts for the Skywinder access platforms manufactured to the same specifications as the originals. We are also the only company that is qualified to fit them and ensure their safe use. Other companies say they can, but in reality, without our training they are unable to.
Skywinders are the only machine we look after that is self-operated without any power needed. It can be manoeuvred through a side alley just 900mm wide. The SK6 series extends to 6 meters high and when dismantled can be broken down and transported in a small van or estate car. It can carry up to 136 kilograms. It is very sturdy and easy to use and can be erected by just one person in about 10 minutes.
Due to being the only company who looks after the Skywinder we do from time to time get some trade in units. These we totally refurbish the unit and we have a list of people waiting for them. People we have that use them are Blenheim Palace, who uses it regularly for gaining access to their ceilings for cleaning. SSE are a company who looks after the nations street-lights. Also schools and colleges use them on a regular basis.
